Many people ask questions in their social media posts just to make their numbers go up. Then they completely ignore people's responses. I think posts like that should come with a disclaimer. "WARNING: This person is too self-absorbed to really care what you think. His question is merely a ploy to increase his stats. In the future please consider every question from this person to be rhetorical."
You will have the ability to turn this off in Settings, but I am guessing that a lot of people won't realize that. So don't be surprised if this new feature leads to new arguments… and possibly some divorce proceedings.
Two stories here. First, Facebook is adding a video app to streaming tools like Apple TV. It is part of their desire to overtake YouTube as the king of online video. YouTube already has an app on things like Apple TV.
Second, when videos appear in your Facebook feed, not only will they play automatically, they will now also automatically play with sound. Until now the videos played automatically, but you had to tap them to turn on the sound. Anyone can publish a post. We can tell your story.
