Facebook is rolling out both a new newsfeed design and a new design for public pages. Here is what they are saying about it so far:
What is not a big deal:
> The dimensions for the cover photo, profile photo, and news feed photos are changing.
What is a big deal:
> Customized tabs are going to be shoved under a "More" button. In my opinion, this is really going to kill those. With the old design, although they did not get a huge amount of attention, people would occasionally remember them and click on them. With this new design I am guessing they will be completely forgotten.
Why that is a big deal: Specialized tabs bands had for new albums and their concert schedule will pretty much disappear. Thus, we will probably need to do more posts about upcoming shows, yet make sure that we do not come across as being too pushy /salesy.
