The Passing of David Bowie

He was amazingly creative. And in a world where so many acts were stamped from a cookie cutter by the record labels, he deserves a lot of credit for his constant exploration of the new and the different. Even when a song or album did not resonate with me, I appreciated his effort and his risk taking. And while many will remember the visuals, his various looks and personas, what really made his music stand the test of time was his voice, his melodies, and his lyrics. Never mind the bells and whistles. David Bowie created some great songs. - Cris
