Music And Facebook

1/4/2016

It can be challenging to upload videos with music directly to Facebook. The system is smart enough to know when music has been uploaded that has a registered copyright attached to it. Unfortunately the system is dumb enough that it does not realize you are uploading the video to that artist's official page. Thus any band can get charged with violating their own copyright.

When you get hit with the violation, you can file an appeal and the video will immediately be posted. However, you are then blocked from uploading any videos anywhere on the site for a few days.

There is also no evidence that anyone reads the appeals. Because if you choose to post that video again, you will get hit with the same copyright violation, even though you explained things the last time this happened. - Cris
